Electric Avenue Chef’s kitchen crew, service staff, cleaners and chefs thank you for your continued loyalty.
Whether we’re providing On-Set Plated Service or Gourmet Meal Boxes for your photo or film shoot, a Private Dining Experience or Ready-To-Go meals, we are committed to being vigilant with our food safety practices and delivering excellent food and service for you to enjoy with confidence.
We want to share actions we are taking and practices we will continue in accordance with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and James Beard Foundation.
ACTIONS WE ARE TAKING
We are following guidelines and directives from Safety First: Serving Food and Protecting People During COVID-19, a program created by the James Beard Foundation in partnership with the Aspen Institute, World Central Kitchen, and Off Their Plate. This comprehensive health and safety guide is an operating system for food service companies to prevent the spread of the COVID-19.
As we do everyday, we are making sure FDA Food Safety Laws and standard operating procedures are strictly upheld and followed. We have heightened protocols for cleaning and sanitation, and have ongoing education for staff on food handling and safety, which are continuously updated by the CDC.
PRACTICES WE WILL CONTINUE
◆ Clean and sanitize thoroughly prep and on-set kitchens and food service spaces daily. This now includes high-touch surfaces such as light switches and door handles.
◆ Maintain a strict glove and hand sanitization protocol.
◆ Ensure staff adhere to our sick leave policies, requiring them to stay home if they do not feel well or think they may have been exposed to someone with COVID – even if they are asymptomatic.
ON-SET AND PRIVATE DINING PRACTICES
◆ Increased cleaning and sanitation of all equipment.
◆ Wear cloth face coverings and gloves when preparing, serving and clearing food.
◆ Maintain 6 feet social distance when possible.
